NEW URIAH HEEP COMPILATIONS
A couple of compilations CD's are out in January. Icon is released by Hip-O in The USA and is just another best-of compilation from the early seventies. Logical Revelations released by The Store For Music is compiled from more recent material from the nineties albums Sea Of Light, Sonic Origami & Spellbinder Live.

URIAH HEEP: WOLVERHAMPTON OFFICIAL BOOTLEG CD (ConcertLive)
Concert Live has released an instant CD of the Uriah Heep show at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on 1st December. You could buy the CD on spot after the show and it's available for ordering as well from here.

URIAH HEEP: 5 ORIGINAL ALBUMS (Sanctuary)
There's a boxset released by Sanctuary containing five Uriah Heep studio albums in carboard sleeves. The albums featured are: Demons And Wizards & The Magician's Birthday (both originally released in 1972), Fallen Angel (1978), Abominog (1982) & Raging Silence (1989). Strangely enough - if the info on track listings found is correct - it seems that Raging Silence is included as 2006 deluxe expanded version and Abominog & Fallen Angel as 1997 original remastered versions all with bonus tracks but both Demons And Wizards & The Magician's Birthday as original cd versions without any bonus tracks.

URIAH HEEP: LIVE IN ARMENIA 2-CD/DVD and 2-LP (Frontiers)
This live recording was released in the last week of September. It was recorded in October 2009 in Jerevan, Armenia and is available both as 2-CD/DVD set as well as double vinyl (only audio portion). This was the very last dates of Wake The Sleeper Tour and the set included seven songs from that album. More details at record company Frontiers website.
URIAH HEEP: OFFICIAL BOOTLEG VOLUME FOUR - LIVE IN BRISBANE AUSTRALIA 2011 2-CD (earMUSIC)
In the beginning of September also a new volume in earMUSIC's official live bootlegs series was released. This was recorded in Brisbane in Australia in March 2011 and contains the full set of this show from Celebration 40th Anniversary Tour as double cd.
NEW URIAH HEEP COMPILATIONS
During Summer there were a couple of new Uriah Heep compilations released: Quite funnily titled Circle Of Hands - The Early Years is actually compiled from 1990's releases and is just a re-release of compilation previously released as "The Definitive Collection" & "Easy Livin'" in 2007. The second titled Wizards - The Best Of on the other hand is a 2-disc best of collection including songs from all of the band's albums from 1970 to 2008.

KEN HENSLEY & LIVE FIRE: FASTER (earMUSIC)
The new album from Ken Hensley and his band Live Fire titled Faster was released in May by earMUSIC. Live Fire has been Ken's band since 2005 and it consists of Norwegian players with lead vocalist Iceland born Eirikur Hauksson. See release details at the record company website.
OZZY OSBOURNE: BLIZZARD OF OZZ & DIARY OF A MADMAN 30th ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS (Sony Music Entertainment)
These earliest Ozzy Osbourne albums recorded with former Heep members Lee Kerslake (drums) and Bob Daisley (bass) were re-released in May by Sony Music Entertainment. The "30th Anniversary Expanded Edition" of Blizzard Of Ozz has three bonus tracks added and the "Legacy Edition" of Diary Of A Madman has a bonus live cd added (unfortunately not with Lee or Bob). There’s also a "Special 30th Anniversary Deluxe Collector's Box Set" with both albums on CD & Vinyl, 100-page book, a poster, "Thirty Years After The Blizzard" DVD documentary, Full-zize detailed replica of Ozzy's Iconic cross & more.
URIAH HEEP: PERFORMANCE ENHANCED CD (Southworld)
Enhance CD titled "Performance" released in May 2011 is just a re-re-re-re-re-release of material already out on several CD's & DVD's, nothing special or rare included. This set was originally released in 2007 titled "Transmissions".

URIAH HEEP: NEW STUDIO ALBUM INTO THE WILD (Frontiers)
The new studio album from Uriah Heep titled Into The Wild was released on April 15th in Europe by Italian company Frontiers, in The USA it was released on 3rd May. The album is available both on CD & LP.
DAVID BYRON - TAKE NO PRISONERS REMASTERED CD (Lemon Recordings)
The original Uriah Heep vocalist David Byron's first solo album from 1975 was released by Lemon Recordings in April as remastered cd with three bonus tracks added. Bonus tracks were all included already on 2-CD compilation Man Of Yesterdays released in 2005 by Castle Music so unfortunately nothing rare or previously unreleased here. All the Uriah Heep members at the time contributed to this LP: Mick Box played all guitars, Lee Kerslake played drums on six songs and both Ken Hensley and John Wetton guested on one song.

URIAH HEEP: OFFICIAL BOOTLEG VOLUME III - LIVE IN KAWASAKI JAPAN (earMUSIC)
This third volume in the official live bootleg series by earMUSIC was released 21st March (see below info on vol. I & II). It's a double CD containing full set list from the show on 24th October 2010 with over two hours of music. Especial about this show was that the set included the classic Demons And Wizards album in its entirety and Micky Moody guested on slide guitar.

URIAH HEEP: OFFICIAL BOOTLEG VOLUME II - LIVE IN BUDAPEST HUNGARY 2010 (earMUSIC)
This second volume in the official live bootleg series by earMUSIC was released in the beginning of October (volume one being Live At Sweden Rock released earlier this year). It is double CD containing the whole show from start to finish with the full 17 song Celebration tour set.
URIAH HEEP: LIVE IN CONCERT DVD & LIVE ON AIR CD
A couple of re-releases titled "Live In Concert" & "Live On Air" were also released October. "Live In Concert" is a DVD consisting of video material from 1974 in Shepperton UK & 1975 US Return To Fantasy tour and "Live On Air" is a CD re-release of "Magic Night" live album released in 2005. These are both just re-releases of the same audio & video material released already on several CD's & DVD's by Classic Rock Productions so they contain nothing rare or previously unreleased. It appears also that "Live In Concert" has been released with another title "Easy Livin' - The Years Live" with different artwork.
URIAH HEEP: DEMONS AND WIZARDS DOUBLE VINYL (Rock Classics)
The classic Uriah Heep album Demons And Wizards from 1972 has also been re-released by Rock Classics on blue vinyl in gatefold sleeve. The record has been expanded to a double LP, in addition to the original album tracks there are five bonus tracks: WHY extended mix / RAINBOW DEMON (edited version) / PROUD WORDS (out-take) / HOME AGAIN TO YOU (out-take) / GREEN EYE (out-take). Track listing as a whole is the same as on the "expanded deluxe edition" CD released in 2003 so there are no really rare or previously unreleased material. URIAH HEEP: EQUATOR - 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION (Lemon)
There's a remastered 25th anniversary edition CD released by Lemon Recordings. It has four bonus tracks added including tracks so far available only on 7" or 12" vinyl singles: the b-side Backstage Girl (not available on any album and the only Heep song yet unreleased on cd) as well as edited single versions of Rockama & Poor Little Rich Girl and a live version of Gypsy recorded in 1984. THE BYRON BAND: ON THE ROCKS (Angel Air)
Angel Air Records has released a new remastered version ofb>The Byron Band's album On The Rocks originally released n 1981. It includes three bous tracks: Fool For A Pretty Face, Safety In Numbers & One Minute More, all demo recordings from 1982 but they aren't nothing special since all of them were included before on Lost & Found and One Minute More cd's released earlier. To coincide with this Summer's South African concerts they released a triple cd compilation titled: The Best Of. It Includes 39 songs taken from albums from 1970 to 1989, including also live recordings. Track listing and more information is available at this page.

NEW RELEASES FROM SANCTUARY
Sanctuary has released a new double CD compilation titled On The Rebound - A Very 'Eavy 40th Anniversary Collection covering all fourty years of Uriah Heep history. It is compiled in co-operation with band leader Mick Box and includes songs from all 21 studio albums. Included is also a bonus track 'You're The Only One' from the Wake The Sleeper album sessions that has never been never commercially released before. Sanctuary has also released at the same time a "Deluxe Edition" version of Uriah Heep Live album released originally in 1973. Unfortunately there's nothing rare or previously unreleased material here, the track listing is exactly the same songs as the "Deluxe Expanded Edition" double cd version released in 2003.
Also there's a new so called "2 for 1" release of Firefly (1976) and Abominog (1982) albums out on Universal Music. It contains the remastered cd's (with bonus tracks) as one double cd set in cardboard box.

URIAH HEEP: LIVE AT SWEDEN ROCK (earMUSIC)
New live album recorded at the Sweden Rock Festival 2009 will be released in February 2010 titled Live At Sweden Rock. This is a CD version of the DVD released as part of Celebration Deluxe Edition in October 2009 with two additional live tracks added - previously released on Celebration Collector's Edition 7" vinyl.
