2nd February 2012 THE ULTIMATE DABID BYRON SITE LAUNCHED! To coincide with the release of THE EARLY SESSIONS CD a completely redesigned website has been launched by the The Carolina Heepsters Association. WWW.DAVIDBYRON.NET offers detailed information on all there is to know about his life and musical career - including the early Avenue Records sessions from which the new CD is compiled. EASY LIVIN' IN SALO 17 - 18 AUGUST! Our third big Uriah Heep event will be held in Salo on 17th to 18th of August. As in previous years there are artists of high class: ex- Uriah Heep members Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake ja Paul Newton perform together as "Uriah Heep Legends" joined by Eirikur Hauksson & Phil Baker. Also one of the best Uriah Heep cover bands in the world Circle Of Hands from Germany is coming and we'll see also Finnish bands Innocent Victims, Wild Spirit, Knights Of The Black Ox & Carballo Family. Main concert is held at Salon Urheilutalo on Saturday 18th ja there are concerts at Hotel Rikala on both Friday & Saturday. Additionally in the program there's Ken Hensley Song Writing Class session and also fan meeting for members of the Finnish Uriah Heep fanclub. The main concert at previous event in Salo 2009 was sold out so don't forget to get your tickets as soon as they are on sale! URIAH HEEP HAMINA TATTOO 4.8.2012 ! The band has notified that they'll be playing at Hamina Tattoo on 4th August but at the festival website there's yet no info on the program of the concerts. Stay tuned for more news at www.haminatattoo.fi.
URIAH HEEP SAARISTO OPEN 9.6.2012 ! Uriah Heep are playing at Saaristo Open in Kaarina on 9th June 2012! Festival tickets are for sale for a limited time at a reduced price 51 EUR from Tiketti.

KEN HENSLEY & CRAZY WORLD at VIRGIN OIL 5 Jan 2012! Ken Hensley will be returning to Finland again 5th January 2012. This time he will be performing a very special show together with Mika Järvinen's band Crazy World at Virgin Oil Co. in Helsinki. More details will follow shortly.
FINNISH URIAH HEEP BOOK COMING! Mika Järvinen (known from eg. bands Five Fifteen and Crazy World) is currently writing a book on Uriah Heep in Finnish tentatively scheduled for release in late 2012. More information at this page.

HELSINKI CONCERT CONFIRMED Besides Tampere Uriah Heep will be performing also at Tavastiaklubi in Helsinki Tuesday 20th September. Tickets cost 29 EUR in advance and are available at Lippupalvelu.
EASY LIVIN' II @ HIMOSAREENA Big thanks to all those who attended the Himos event, enjoyed a bit of easy livin' and made it once again a unique and memorable one. Uriah Heep will be performing at Pakkahuone in Tampere 21st September! Tickets cost 27 EUR, presale will begin at Lippupalvelu Monday 27th June.
Due to large demand Uriah Heep Suomi Finland shirts are again available for ordering. Shirts are of good quality (Fruit Of The Loom Heavy Cotton) and they are available in all sizes from S to XXL but the batch is limited so act quickly if you want to ensure that you get your size. Price is 20 EUR, postage and packing 3 EUR to EU countries and 4 EUR to other countries. EASY LIVIN' II @ HIMOSAREENA 14th - 16th JULY
The big event of 2009 Easy Livin' In Salo is repeated in July when ex-Uriah Heep members Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake and Paul Newton take the stage in Himos in Jämsä at Himos Areena for a very special performance together. The three day event also features concert by Ken Hensley's Live Fire featuring vocalist Eirikur Hauksson and Ken Hensley's songwriting class.

INTO THE WILD ON FINNISH TV
The Canal+ channel is using the title track of Into The Wild as theme music in their TV spots of this season's Finnish football League Veikkausliga. Mail us if you spot Heep on Finnish TV.
INTO THE WILD ON THE CHARTS
The new album went to nr. 31 at the official Finnish album chart! This is the first time in 24 years that a Uriah Heep album with new music has risen to charts in Finland. Also elsewhere in Europe the album is doing well chartwise.
FASTER PRE-LISTENING PARTY
The official Finnish pre-listening party of Ken Hensley & Live Fire album Faster will be held in co-operation with Uriah Heep Suomi Finland, earMUSIC & Playground Music at Bar Bäkkäri, Pohjoinen Rautatienkatu 21, Helsinki Saturday 15h May at 6 p.m. Program includes listening of the upcoming album and other Uriah Heep music as well as a quiz with prizes. INTO THE WILD RELEASED IN EUROPE 15TH APRIL BOTH ON CD AND LP
The details of the forthcoming new Uriah Heep album Into The Wild have been revealed. At the record company website and the official band website you can see the artwork, track listing, two parts of studio diary and audio clips of three songs. Also at the website of the artwork maker Ioannis there are more pictures of the artwork and stories behind it.

The release date in Europe is 15th April and it will be out both on CD & LP. Video of the song "Nail On The Head" will be added to the CD and the Japanese SHM-CD-version contains a bonus track "Hard Way To Learn". The album can be preordered from the record company website as well as several internet stores.
URIAH HEEP GO INTO THE WILD!
The record company announced yesterday the news on the forthcoming new studio album:
"Frontiers Records has announced the signing of legendary British hard rockers URIAH HEEP for the release of their 23rd studio album, tentatively due in April.
Following the completion of URIAH HEEP's 40th anniversary tour, the band started the recordings for its new CD in January at Liscombe Park Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. Entitled "Into The Wild", it will contain 11 brand new songs, including some epic additions to the band's huge catalogue of rock classics.
Commented guitarist and founding member Mick Box: "We are delighted and excited to be joining the Frontiers roster. We see it as a really fantastic move and we are now fully immersed in recording process and hope to deliver the album they want, we want and the fans want."

URIAH HEEP IN THE STUDIO
The recordings of a new Uriah Heep studio album are underway lead by producer Mike Paxman and the sessions will take place until mid-February. The album will be released by Italian company Frontiers. URIAH HEEP WRITING SONGS FOR NEXT STUDIO ALBUM

KEN HENSLEY RECORDING A NEW ALBUM
Ken Hensley is at the moment in Riga in Latvia to record a new rock album with his band Live Fire. Tentative release date is early 2011. More details later.
UPDATE: HIGH VOLTAGE FESTIVAL RECORDING WON'T BE RELEASED!
Concert Live has informed that the CD of High Voltage Festival show will unfortunately not be released because the techinical faults in the recording prove impossible to correct.
HIGH VOLTAGE FESTIVAL RECORDING
Uriah Heep performed their classic Demons And Wizards album in its entirety at High Voltage Festival in London Sunday 25th July. There was going to a live recording of the show on CD but on Monday 26th it was told that the recording didn't take place. This information however was false, the show was recorded but due to problems it wasn't possible to process and release it as instant cd. The show will be mixed using backup recording and released very soon. Watch this space for more info.

K-40 IN SALO WITH LEE KERSLAKE
Ex-Uriah Heep drummer Lee Kerslake is coming to Finland again as guest of the Finnish Uriah Heep fan club. Kerslake will perform together with local band Carballo Family at Sokos Hotel Rikala in Salo on 15th May 2010. For more informataion check out the website

Uriah Heep will be performing their classic Demons And Wizards album in full at High Voltage Festival in London 24th - 25th July. Live recordings of this fantastic show are already available for pre-ordering at Concert Live website.

SPICE ACETATE FROM 1968 DISCOVERED!
Thanks to Martti Suhonen's research an acetate by pre-Heep group Spice with three previously unreleased songs has recently been discovered. These were recorded in sessions for United Artists in 1968. Read all the info on this page.
CELEBRATION RECORD RELEASE PARTY
The Finnish record release and listening party of the upcoming 40th anniversary release Celebration will be held at Baker's Pub 18th September at 7 p.m. Program includes besides enjoying the new album also other Uriah Heep music and quiz with some great prizes. The event is organised by The Finnish Uriah Heep fan club together with record company Edel. There is also a quiz at this website until 17th September for the fan club members. EASY LIVIN' IN SALO WAS A SUCCESS
The first major event organised by us was a huge success! Sold out crowd of 1.000 people at Urheilutalo in Salo saw a unique concert featuring four ex-Uriah Heep members Ken Hensley (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Lee Kerslake (rrums), John Lawton (vocals ja Paul Newton (bass) accompanied by Baba Salama (guitar) from Turku Finland. Also other acts in the main concert Circle Of Hands from Germany and home town boys Carballo Brothers got an enthusiastic response.
Also other events during the four days like Ken Hensley's solo concert, his Songwriting Class session and the club nights at Rockin' Hood were also succesful and like the headline news of YLE told, this was a dream weekend for the fans. On behalf of the fan club very big thanks to everyone involved. Without your hard work and dedication this wouldn't have been possible. Arrangements worked fine, no delays in schedules and also the weather was fine. Easy Livin' In Salo is over but the easy living for Uriah Heep fans continues...

CHILDLINE ROCKS LIVE CD FOR SALE
On 1st June Uriah Heep played at Indig02 in London at Childline Rocks charity concert together with Jon Lord, Glenn Hughes, Thunder etc. Double cd live recording of the concert is already available for ordering at Concert Live website. Uriah Heep played a set of four songs: Overload (first live recording of the song), Sunrise, Gypsy (for the first time in 36 years a live recording of the song with the original arrangement with keyboard intro) & Easy Livin'. Besides that Bernie Shaw shares lead vocals with other singers on Deep Purple song Smoke On The Water. Support the good cause and get yourself some new live Heep!
